About Kirkland Natural Medicine
What is Kirkland Natural Medicine?
Kirkland Natural Medicine is a naturopathic practice at 634 7th Ave, Kirkland, WA 98033, phone (425) 448-3232. Dr. Richter is the only prescriber named, with a Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine (ND). The clinic leads with hormone care. In its own words: "At Kirkland Natural Medicine, we specialize in personalized hormone therapy designed to help women and men achieve better balance and improve their overall well-being."
The menu goes beyond hormones. It lists general medicine, endocrine conditions, gastrointestinal and auto-immune conditions, pain management, IV nutrient therapy, Botox, regenerative medicine injections, the Walsh Protocol, and hormone pellet therapy. The pellet material names EvexiPEL. Telemedicine visits are offered. The office is open Tuesday through Saturday, with Wednesday and Saturday ending at 1pm and Saturday afternoons by advance appointment only. Google shows a 4.7 rating from 15 reviews.
What does it cost?
The first visit is a 60 to 90 minute exam at $350. Follow-up visits of 15 to 60 minutes run $77 to $295, wellness exams run $141 to $270, and acute illness visits run $77 to $195. Telemedicine visits are billed the same as office visits. The clinic is a preferred provider for Premera Blue Cross, Cigna, Regence Blue Shield, First Choice, Molina, Kaiser Permanente PPO and LifeWise, and says it will check benefits and file claims. Its price list gives 20% off exams and office visits for cash payment, while its stress program material says 25% off office visits.
Other listed prices include Supartz at $255 per injection, Gammastan at $200, and regenerative medicine injections at $4000 for one or $7000 for two. Hormone testing runs $30 to $330. The clinic does not publish a price for hormone therapy or pellets, and it does not say whether hormone medication is included in any price.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes, adjusts and monitors any hormone prescription, since Dr. Richter is the only prescriber named. Ask whether the pellets use EvexiPEL, and whether the hormone is commercially made or compounded. Ask what the pellet procedure costs and whether any price includes the hormone itself, since neither is published. Ask how many visits, lab draws and injections a year usually add up to, because some injections need lab work and procedures that require an exam carry an extra charge. Ask which cash discount applies, 20% or 25%. Finally, ask how to cancel or change a plan, since no membership or cancellation terms are published.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a naturopathic doctor as your main contact for hormone questions and general care in one Kirkland office, and you are ready to get pellet, medication and follow-up prices in writing before you book. If you need a published price for hormone treatment before the first visit, call first and ask for those numbers.
