About Raving Health
What is Raving Health?
Raving Health is a cash-pay clinic in Virginia Beach that mainly provides bioidentical hormone therapy for women and men. Beth Owens, AGNP-C, is the nurse practitioner who prescribes. She holds a certification as an Advanced Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy Specialist through WorldLink Medical, The Academy for Preventive and Innovated Medicine, and brings over 30 years of medical experience to the practice.
The four services are a women's program, a men's program, a thyroid program and an InBody Composition Scan. The men's program centers on Bioidentical Testosterone Replacement Therapy (BTRT). Google reviews give the clinic 5 out of 5 across 30 reviews, under the category Wellness center.
It lists Red Mill Shopping Center as its location and serves Virginia Beach, Chesapeake and Norfolk. No street address is published. The phone number is (757) 689-1572, and listed office hours are 09:00-15:30 on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with no Wednesday hours.
This listing is for its Virginia Beach office at 2181 Upton Dr #418.
What does it cost?
The initial 60 minute consultation is $300, and initial labs for men's and women's health are also $300. Monthly subscriptions are $260 for the male program, $280 for the female program with 1 or 2 hormones, $350 for the female program with 3 or 4 hormones, and $200 for the thyroid only program. Each monthly fee includes medication, in-office or telehealth follow-up, medications shipped to your home with shipping included, emails and phone questions, and interval labs. Additional lab panels, office supplements and Nutrafol hair growth packs ($209 in office for a 3-month supply) cost extra.
Insurance is not accepted. In its own words: "Insurance is not accepted at our office as we provide health and wellness options." The clinic will provide invoices for HSA or FSA accounts. A promotion offers a free initial consultation with purchase of a $300 lab panel, original value $600, and ends 09/30/2026. It does not publish cancellation or commitment terms for the subscriptions.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs each prescription and how Beth Owens follows your treatment between visits. The clinic names Premarin, Provera and Androgel in its material on hormone options but does not say whether it prescribes them, so ask which medications you would receive. Ask whether the hormones are compounded or pharmaceutical, and which pharmacy fills them.
Ask whether the female price changes if your plan moves from 1 or 2 hormones to 3 or 4. Ask what extra lab panels cost, how cancellation works, whether the subscription runs for a set term, and whether the consultation fee is refunded if you do not continue. Ask for the street address, since none is published, and whether the office is open on Wednesdays.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want hormone or thyroid care from a nurse practitioner, can pay cash or use an HSA or FSA, and are comfortable with a monthly subscription. If you need insurance to cover your visits, this clinic does not take it.
