About Renü Medicine

What is Renü Medicine?

Renü Medicine is a cash-pay clinic at 10694 River Front Parkway in South Jordan, Utah, off I-15. Amber Wright, MSPAS, PA-C, founded the practice and is the only prescriber named. As the clinic describes it, she has worked in the medical field for over 20 years, graduated from the University of Utah's Physician Assistant Program in 2017, and has specialized in functional and regenerative medicine with an emphasis on bioidentical hormone therapy since 2018.

The clinic lists six services: bioidentical hormone therapy, therapeutic peptide treatments, sexual wellness, medical aesthetics, platelet rich plasma and IV therapy. Hormone therapy and peptides are the core of the practice. The hormone menu covers testosterone, thyroid replacement, estradiol and progesterone. The peptide menu names BPC-157, TB-500, CJC-1295, Ipamorelin, Tesamorelin, Tesofensine, AOD-9604, GHK-Cu+ and Melanotan 1 & 2, grouped under injury recovery, body composition and skin. It does not describe a GLP-1 weight loss program. In its own words: "We are dedicated to delivering personalized evidence-based treatment protocols that cater to your individual needs."

Visits can be in person or by telemedicine. You book, get lab work drawn at the clinic or at a lab near you, then meet your provider about a week after the blood draw to build a plan. The clinic adjoins Reküp Wellness, which offers chiropractic care, massage, cold plunge tubs, an infrared sauna, yoga and breath work. Hours are Monday through Thursday 09:00 am to 04:00 pm, Friday 09:00 am to 01:00 pm, and closed on weekends. Google shows a rating of 4 from 20 reviews.

What does it cost?

Hormone therapy has two monthly plans. Standard starts at $199.00 a month and is for treatment you give yourself, with prescriptions delivered free by its preferred pharmacy. Elite starts at $259.00 a month and includes visits, generally one to two times a week, where a clinic member gives the treatment. Both can be paid monthly, quarterly or annually.

Memberships come in two options, and the clinic does not publish their prices. Each includes hormone health, sexual wellness, IV therapy, chiropractic care, massage therapy and facility access, and members get discounts on aesthetic procedures and peptide treatments.

Peptides are sold as courses. Injury Repair and Recovery, with BPC-157 and TB-500, runs from $899.00 to $1299.00 for four weeks, and a course is generally four to twelve weeks. Body Composition Reform, with CJC-1295, Ipamorelin and Tesamorelin, is $1349.00 for a 10 week course. Skin Rejuvenation, with GHK-Cu+, is $299.00 for 12 weeks.

A la carte visits are paid in full at the time of service and do not get membership discounts. A between-visit appointment is $150 per 15 minute appointment. The clinic does not accept insurance, but insurance may cover lab work and prescriptions. HSA, FSA, credit and debit cards can pay the clinic's fees. It does not say whether medication is included in the monthly price, does not state a first-visit fee, and does not publish prices for aesthetics, platelet rich plasma or IV therapy.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether the $199.00 or $259.00 monthly fee includes the medication, or whether prescriptions are billed on top. Free delivery through the preferred pharmacy does not tell you what the drug costs. Also ask whether the hormones and peptides are brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy fills them.

Ask who writes and signs your prescriptions, and who follows up with you between visits. The only prescriber named is Amber Wright, MSPAS, PA-C, so confirm whether she handles every prescription. Ask what the first visit costs, what the blood draw costs at the clinic, and what repeat lab work costs.

If you join a membership, ask how long it runs, what it costs each month, how and when to cancel, and whether unused visits carry over. Ask whether the chiropractic and massage care it lists are provided by Renü Medicine or by Reküp Wellness next door, and whether they are included in the fee. If you want telemedicine, ask which visits can be done that way, since the wording is "in-person or telemedicine" without saying which.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want bioidentical hormone therapy from a prescriber who has focused on it since 2018, and you are comfortable paying cash for the clinic's fees and plans. It is a weaker match if you were hoping for a GLP-1 weight loss program, since none is described, or if you need one flat price that clearly includes the medication.
