What is Harmony Women's Health?
Harmony Women's Health is an OB/GYN practice at 6401 Poplar Ave, Suite 195, in Memphis, Tennessee. Its main work is pregnancy care, gynecology and gynecologic surgery. Dr. Michael Podraza, MD, provides those services, and Hannah Ingram, FNP, and Eliza Douglas, FNP, are nurse practitioners who also prescribe. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, with a daily lunch closure from 12:00 pm to 1 pm. The phone number is 901-257-9725, and its Google rating is 4.4 from 44 reviews.
Hormone therapy is one service among several, not the center of the practice. The other listed services include fertility counseling, menopause care, thyroid and adrenal dysfunction, ultrasound and pelvic physical therapy. It does not offer medical weight loss, peptide therapy or longevity medicine. In its own words: "If hormone replacement is needed, we recommend bioidentical hormones in either creams, vaginal suppositories, or troches." It says it works with several compounding pharmacies in the area, but it does not name a specific hormone medication. Its hormone therapy section still says information is coming soon under most headings.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for hormone therapy or any other service. It also does not state a consultation fee, membership terms or a cancellation policy. Nothing says whether hormone visits, lab work or the saliva hormone testing it prefers for estrogen and progesterone cost extra, or whether a medication would be included in any price.
Dr. Podraza and Hannah Ingram both take Medicare, and they welcome Medicare patients for annual exams. Dr. Podraza is not taking Medicaid patients, but a nurse practitioner can see Medicaid patients for gynecological needs.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the hormone prescription, and whether follow-up visits are with the physician or a nurse practitioner. Ask whether the medication is compounded and which pharmacy fills it. Ask whether the price you are quoted includes the medication and the follow-up visits, and what it costs to have the saliva hormone testing and the thyroid panel. Ask whether Medicare covers hormone visits or only the annual exam, and whether there is a consultation fee. Ask whether telehealth is available, and how a cash payment is cancelled or refunded.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want an OB/GYN practice that also offers hormone therapy through compounding pharmacies, and you are comfortable asking for the full price before you book. It is not the right fit if you are looking for medical weight loss, peptide therapy or longevity medicine, which it does not offer.
