What is WellFit Medicine and Nutrition?
WellFit Medicine and Nutrition is a cash-pay medical practice with offices in Arlington and Jackson, Tennessee. Jeremy Draper M.D., a board-certified family physician, founded it, and its first office opened in Jackson in 2012. Dr. Draper is the only prescriber the practice names. It describes two practitioners in total.
Its main focus is functional medicine and hormone care. Its services are Functional Medicine, Balanced Hormones, Lab Pricing, Membership, and Insurance, though it does not take insurance. It describes its hormone work as bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, and testosterone is the only medication it names. It does not name a medical weight loss program. Remote follow-up is offered to Arlington patients. The practice has a Google rating of 5 from 4 reviews.
This listing is for its Arlington office at 12005 Walker St.
What does it cost?
Membership is $85 a month for an adult. Each person pays $75 a month when a spouse, sibling, parent, or child also joins. Membership includes one medical visit a year, one every six months, and one nutrition visit a year. It does not include labs, extra visits, or some administrative fees. A 12-month contract that renews each year is required for patients 26 and older. The Arlington office caps membership at 300 members and keeps a wait list after that. New patients can join after their first year as a patient.
Labs are billed separately through LabCorp. An expanded panel costs $630, a second full panel costs $425, and follow-up hormone panels cost $270 for women and $225 for men. Each panel includes the blood draw fee. The practice says lab pricing can change.
The practice does not accept insurance. In its own words: "The insurance model is a sick care model."
It does not publish prices for hormone therapy, weight loss, or a first visit. It does not say whether medication is included in membership. It does not mention HSA use or financing.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who prescribes and follows your hormone care, and whether Dr. Draper writes each prescription. Ask whether the $85 membership covers any medication or whether the drug is billed separately. Ask whether the hormone medication is brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy fills it.
Ask what the first year costs in total once you add the six-month labs that membership requires. Ask what a first visit costs and whether there is a consultation fee. Ask how remote follow-up works and whether it is open to patients who live outside Arlington. Ask how cancellation works for a renewing 12-month contract and whether any part of it is refundable. The practice lists no phone number or office hours, so ask how to reach the office before you commit.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you can pay cash, accept a yearly contract, and keep up with labs and visits every six months, and you want one physician following your hormone care over time. It is a harder fit if you need insurance to pay, if you want medication and lab costs in writing before you book, or if you are looking for a weight loss program with published prices.
