About GynJess

What is GynJess?

GynJess is a menopause and sexual medicine practice in Corvallis, Oregon. Jessica Bell, PA-C, runs it and is the prescriber. She describes it as just her, with no big clinic and no layers of staff. Visits happen at 2358 NW Kings Blvd #202, Corvallis, OR 97330, or by telehealth across Oregon. The phone number is (541) 250-0109. Hours are generally 11am to 5pm, but the days change from week to week. It has a Google rating of 5 from one review.

Its main focus is (peri)menopause and sexual medicine. It offers systemic hormone therapy, vaginal estrogen and DHEA, testosterone where appropriate, and non-hormonal prescriptions. It also offers sleep and mood support, bone, heart and metabolic health care, lubricants and devices, and referrals for pelvic floor care and sex therapy. Jessica describes herself as an LGBTQIA-inclusive, trauma-informed and kink-positive provider.

Some people want hormones, and some cannot take them or would rather not. In its own words: "Both conversations happen here, grounded in current evidence and shared decision-making."

What does it cost?

The first visit is a 50-minute consultation at $275. Follow-up visits are 25 minutes at $175. Both are priced per visit. It is a cash-pay practice and does not bill insurance. Labs, imaging and prescriptions can still go through your insurance. Superbills are available for possible reimbursement, and FSA and HSA funds are accepted.

It does not publish prices for hormone medication or other prescriptions. It does not say whether medication is included in the visit prices. It has no subscriptions, memberships or supplement sales. Follow-up visits come with the next one already arranged. In its own words: "Your next visit is arranged before you leave".

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether the $275 or $175 visit fee covers testosterone, DHEA or any other prescription, or whether those are billed on top. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, and what it costs each month, since it does not say. Ask what labs and renewals cost, and whether they are billed to your insurance in practice. Ask who signs the prescription and how renewals work between visits.

Ask how cancelling or rescheduling a booked visit works. Ask how to find an open time, since the days change week to week. If you live outside Oregon, ask first, because the telehealth states it names are Oregon only. Finally, ask whether you count as new or established. Established means you were seen within the last 3 years.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you live in Oregon, want one clinician for menopause or sexual health care, and are ready to pay per visit while handling labs and prescriptions with your insurer. It is worth calling before you book if you live outside Oregon.
