About Heritage Regenerative Medicine

What is Heritage Regenerative Medicine?

Heritage Regenerative Medicine is a regenerative and functional medicine practice at 8058 Corporate Center, Suite 300, in Charlotte, North Carolina. Its one named prescriber is Dr. John Stavrakos, who has over two decades of experience in regenerative and physical medicine. He is board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and has fellowship training in Sports Medicine.

The menu is long. The services most relevant to someone paying out of pocket are peptide therapy, hormone optimization with bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT), and IV therapy. Regenerative injections such as PRP, prolotherapy and shockwave therapy are also offered. The peptide options are grouped into metabolic and weight management, performance and recovery, hormone support, and immune and longevity peptides. Heritage names no specific medication, and it does not describe a GLP-1 weight loss program.

The office is open Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm, and closed on weekends. Heritage also mentions Pineville and the Charlotte areas of Ballantyne, Quail Hollow and Providence Plantation, but the only street address it gives is the Charlotte office. In its own words: "Non-surgical, functional treatments Designed To Heal Your Body, not just mask symptoms."

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices or a consultation fee, and it does not say whether a program fee includes medication. Ask for those figures before you book anything. Heritage does not process insurance plans. It will provide a superbill listing treatments, medical codes and costs, which you can submit to your insurer yourself for possible reimbursement. It says it will walk patients through payment options, but it names no HSA or financing options and states no membership or cancellation terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes the prescription, and whether Dr. Stavrakos reviews each treatment plan himself. Heritage describes his certification in more than one way, once as Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and once as regenerative medicine. Ask him to name the certifying board, then check it yourself.

Ask which medications would be used, by name, and whether any are compounded rather than brand-name. Ask whether a quoted price covers the medication or only the visit. Lab panels come before treatment, so ask what they cost and how often follow-up visits and labs are required. Telehealth is not mentioned, so ask whether it is offered. Finally, ask how to cancel, and whether prepaid treatments such as hormone pellets are refundable if you stop. Call 980-210-0079 to get these answers before you commit.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you can pay cash for visits, labs and treatments, can get to the Charlotte office during weekday daytime hours, and want a physician-led plan that starts with lab testing. If you need prices and the prescriber's credentials confirmed in writing before you commit, call first and wait until you have them.
