About XY Men's Health

What is XY Men's Health?

XY Men's Health is a cash-pay men's health practice at 5430 Main Street, Williamsville, NY 14221. Its prescribers are Anthony L. Buscaglia, D.O., who spent over 20 years as an emergency physician before turning to men's health, and Courtenay Watt, M.D., who has worked as an emergency physician for over 30 years.

The practice offers three services: testosterone therapy for men 30 and older, erectile dysfunction services, and peptide therapy. The testosterone program names one medication, Testosterone Cypionate. The peptides it prescribes are not named. Visits can be in person or virtual, and the first step is a 15-minute video consultation. Its Google listing shows a rating of 5 from 4 reviews.

What does it cost?

The one-time consultation call is $100, though a $99 figure also appears on the same page, so confirm which one applies. The quarterly membership is $275. Insurance is not accepted for the consultation or the membership. Payment is by ACH or credit card.

The membership does not include medication. The page puts Testosterone Cypionate at about $50 for a 3-month supply and other medications at about $30 for a 3-6 month supply. Initial lab work is about $200, and labs every 3 months are about $75. Patients may use their medical insurance for lab work if they choose.

Three membership tiers are listed. Basic covers testosterone therapy only, while the other two tiers, one of them Platinum, add peptide therapy. No prices are published for those tiers or for peptide therapy. Late cancellations within 24 hours cost $50 to reschedule for members and $100 for the consultation.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether any medication cost is billed separately from the $275 membership. The page says memberships do not include it, and the Basic tier says members pay for medications and required labs. Ask which consultation fee applies, $100 or $99.

Ask who will sign your prescription, and whether you will see the same physician at follow-up. Ask which peptides are prescribed and what they cost, since the page names none and gives no price. Ask whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy fills it.

Ask for a total estimate of follow-up visits and lab work for the first year, because the figures above are approximations. Ask how cancellation works. In its own words: "XY Men's Health reserves the right to terminate a patient's membership for repeated late cancellations or "no shows" as well as for delinquent patient invoices per the signed Patient Agreement form." Ask to read the Patient Agreement before you pay. It does not publish a phone number or office hours, so ask for both when you request the consultation.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you are a man over 30 who is ready to pay cash for medication and labs on top of a membership, and you want a program built around testosterone therapy. If peptide therapy is the main reason you are calling, wait for a published price and a named list of peptides before you book.
