What is The Women’s Wellness Place?
The Women’s Wellness Place is an obstetrics and gynecology practice with offices in Syracuse and Camillus, New York. It has been caring for patients since 1995. Its prescribers are Chantell E. Dalpe, Carly Hornis, and Nicole Snyder, a certified nurse midwife, along with Annemarie Dixe, RN, and Katlyn Piazza, RN, who are family nurse practitioners.
Most of what it offers is gynecology. That includes routine wellness exams, Pap smear and HPV testing, contraception, infertility management, perimenopause and menopause care, osteoporosis prevention and treatment, and bioidentical hormones. Obstetric care covers routine prenatal care, ultrasounds and postpartum care. In the office it offers colposcopy and LEEP, hysteroscopy and endometrial ablation, and IUD and Nexplanon services. Its homepage also mentions testosterone pellet insertion. It does not list weight loss, GLP-1, peptide or longevity services. Its Google rating is 3.7, from 3 reviews.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices. It does not state a consultation fee, and it does not say whether medication is included in any charge. It does take insurance. In its own words: "We accept most major insurance plans." The published list includes Aetna, Cigna, Medicare and United Health Care, among others. Medicaid and several Blue Cross Blue Shield and Fidelis plans are marked as not accepting new patients. For some plans, only select providers take part, and the clinic asks you to call for that list. The insurance list is subject to change. It does not say whether it offers financing, HSA payment or telehealth visits.
What should you ask before you book?
The clinic does not say which clinician provides hormone therapy, so ask who prescribes hormones and who would perform a pellet insertion. In its own words: "Whether it is a colposcopy or testosterone pellet insertion, The Women’s Wellness Place is your go-to source." That line does not name the hormone in the pellet, so ask what it is.
Ask whether the hormones are brand-name or compounded, and whether the medication is included in any visit or monthly fee. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost, and whether any of it can be done by telehealth, which the clinic does not state. Ask about hours at the Camillus office, since none are listed there. Ask how cancellation works for any service you pay for yourself. Check your plan against the full insurance list before you book, and call 315-478-1158 for Syracuse or 315-870-3622 for Camillus.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want gynecology, menopause or hormone care alongside routine women’s health, have one of the plans the clinic takes, and are willing to confirm who prescribes before you book. It is less suited to you if you are looking for weight loss, peptide or longevity care, since none of those are listed among its services.
