About Medical Aesthetics of the Hudson Valley

What is Medical Aesthetics of the Hudson Valley?

Medical Aesthetics of the Hudson Valley is a physician-led medical spa at 166 Albany Avenue, Kingston, NY 12401. Most of what it does is aesthetic: Botox, fillers, Radiofrequency Microneedling, Laser Hair Removal, CoolSculpting, Body Contouring and Medical-Grade Skincare. It also offers Gender-Affirming Aesthetics and sells Alastin, Skinbetter, Face Reality and SkinCeuticals skincare, with pickup at the Kingston office.

Hormone care is the other part. It offers Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), lists Hormone Optimization among its services, and runs a Longevity Medicine practice. It does not name the hormones it uses. It has two decades of clinical experience. In its own words: "Our consultations and procedures are performed by Dr. Bloch, NYS-licensed medical aestheticians, and certified laser technicians with advanced training in aesthetic medicine." Dr. Bloch is the only prescriber it names, and it does not publish his credentials.

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices. There is no consultation fee, no price for hormone therapy or longevity care, and no price for its membership program. The membership has two tiers with set monthly fees. In its own words: "Funds are banked and rolled over, allowing you to save for future treatments, services, or products you love." It does not say whether insurance is accepted, whether a membership fee covers medication, or whether telehealth visits are offered. Its menu lists Payment Plans and Gift Cards, but it does not list terms for either.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes the hormone prescription, and what Dr. Bloch's credentials are, since it does not publish them. Ask whether your hormone visit is with Dr. Bloch or with one of its aestheticians. Ask which hormones are used, and whether they are brand-name or compounded. Ask whether the monthly membership fee includes any medication, and what labs and follow-up visits cost. Ask whether it takes insurance and whether telehealth is available. Then ask how to cancel a membership and what happens to funds banked on it.

Its hours are listed as Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm, but it also says hours are daily by appointment. Confirm which applies before you drive over.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want cosmetic treatments and hormone care from one Kingston practice, and you are willing to get prices, medication details and cancellation terms in writing before you commit. It is a weaker fit if you need published prices or insurance billing, since it publishes neither.

We have not yet collected published prices or prescriber credentials for this clinic. When we do, they will appear here with a link to the page they came from — or a note saying the clinic publishes none, which is itself worth knowing. Call them for a price in the meantime.
