About Reclaim Menopause
What is Reclaim Menopause?
Reclaim Menopause PLLC is a physician-run menopause practice at 68 Lyme Road, Second Floor, in Hanover, New Hampshire. The prescriber is Laura Duncan, MD, MPH. She is an Internal Medicine doctor and a certified practitioner of The Menopause Society, and she says she has worked in women's health for over 20 years. The practice serves women in New Hampshire and Vermont who are in perimenopause or menopause.
Its main hormones are estrogens, progestins and testosterone. The medicines it names are estradiol, micronized progesterone, and the IUDs Mirena and Lilleta. Visits can be in person, by phone or by video. It names no weight loss, peptide or longevity services, and it marks its third year. In its own words: "We will have time to answer your questions, address your concerns, engage in shared decision-making and co-develop a plan that works for you."
What does it cost?
It is cash pay only, and it does not bill insurance. A one time consultation costs $450 and runs 90 minutes, with a review of your history and an individualized plan.
The alternative is a membership. The Launch Membership is $150 a month for 5 months, $750 in all, and includes the consultation and one follow-up visit. After that, annual membership is $75 a month for the rest of the year, $1275 for the year. The Annual Membership is $100 a month for 12 months, $1200 in all, and includes the consultation and three follow-up visits. If an annual membership is canceled before 6 months, the remaining balance of a $600 minimum commitment is billed.
Visits outside a membership cost more. A 15 minute phone visit is $100, or $50 for members. A 45 minute in-person or video visit is $300, or $150 for members. The Hormone Strategy Annual Review costs $350 and sets prescriptions with refills for the year. It does not say whether medication is included in membership prices, and it does not publish what blood work or hormone testing costs.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the monthly fee covers the medication or whether prescriptions are billed separately. Ask whether each prescription is FDA-approved or compounded. The clinic lists both FDA-regulated medications and compounded bioidentical hormones from compounding pharmacies, so the answer affects what you pay.
Ask what blood work and hormone testing cost, and whether they are billed on top of the membership. Ask whether the $600 minimum commitment applies to the Launch Membership too, since its stated terms cover only the annual membership.
Its Tuesday hours appear as 1 pm to 7 pm in one place and 3 pm to 7 pm in another, so confirm the time before you plan a visit. The clinic names New Hampshire and Vermont as its service area but does not say which states its video visits cover, so ask if you live elsewhere. For emergencies, it says to text during office hours or call 911.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are between 30 and 65, live in New Hampshire or Vermont, want a physician to spend time on a hormone decision with you by phone, video or in person, and are willing to pay for care yourself. If you need insurance billing or a clinic for weight loss, peptides or longevity medicine, it is not the right match.
