What is Bridgercare?
Bridgercare is a nonprofit reproductive and sexual health clinic at 1288 N 14th Ave, Suite 201, Bozeman, MT 59715. It describes itself as the local nonprofit reproductive and sexual healthcare clinic for south central Montana, and says it has provided healthcare in the Valley for more than 50 years. Its services include birth control, STI testing and treatment, pregnancy testing, annual wellness exams, infection checks and cancer screenings. It also lists menopause care, hormone therapy and transitioning visits, erectile dysfunction care, and preconception counseling. It is open Monday, Wednesday through Friday, 8:45 AM to 5 PM, and Tuesday, 9:45 AM to 5 PM. It is closed on weekends. A teen clinic runs Monday afternoons from 3 PM to 5 PM.
Chloe Georgeton, Sue Dolan, Sebrina Brown and Kelsey Doll, NP are the prescribers it names. Kelsey Doll, NP has been a provider there for years. It names Nexplanon, Depo-Provera, Phexxi, Plan B, Ella and Truvada. Its menopause care lists hormone replacement, mental health services, vaginal changes, nutrition needs and non-hormone therapies among the things it can help with. Google shows a 4.8 rating from 555 reviews, under the category reproductive health clinic.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for visits or hormone therapy. Its fees run on a sliding scale. In its own words: "We use a sliding fee scale, which means what you pay is based on income." It welcomes patients with health insurance, Medicaid or no insurance. It does not say which insurance plans it bills, whether a consultation fee applies, or whether hormone replacement medication is included in any fee. It does not describe a membership plan, and it does not say whether it offers telehealth. Its education program, which is separate from the clinic, bills private group trainings at $350 an hour, on a sliding scale for groups that cannot afford it.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which fee applies to a hormone replacement visit, and whether any medication is included or billed separately. Ask whether it offers testosterone, since it does not name that service. Ask which insurance plans it bills, and whether a consultation fee applies. Ask whether telehealth is available, or whether every visit happens in person at the Suite 201 office. Ask what lab work and follow-up cost, and how a visit or prescription is cancelled. Ask whether the clinician you see is the one who follows your prescription from visit to visit.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want in-person reproductive, sexual or menopause care in Bozeman and can pay on a sliding scale or with insurance. Call first if you need a price for hormone medication or a telehealth visit, since neither is published.
