What is Kansas City Urology Care?
Kansas City Urology Care, also known as KCUC, is a urology and oncology group. It lists offices in Kansas City and several other Missouri towns, including Independence, Lee's Summit, North Kansas City, Belton, Harrisonville, Lexington, Warrensburg, Sedalia and Butler, plus Ottawa, Kansas. It advertises over 20 locations in all, so ask which office would see you.
Its core work is urology and cancer care: prostate, bladder, kidney and testicular cancer, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, incontinence and male infertility. Testosterone deficiency is one of the conditions it lists, and testosterone replacement is one of its treatments, alongside surgery and procedures such as vasectomy and prostate treatments. It does not list weight loss, peptide or longevity services.
No prescriber is named for testosterone treatment. The practice names Testopel, a short office procedure in which small testosterone-releasing pellets are placed under local anesthesia into the thigh or buttocks. It also describes gel and injections as options. In its own words: "Primary hypogonadism often is treated with testosterone replacement therapy (TRT)."
This listing is for its Nevada office at 800 South Ash Street.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for testosterone therapy, consultation visits or lab work. It does not say whether a quoted price would include the medication, or whether it accepts insurance for this care. It does have a page titled "Insurances KCUC Accepts," so check that list before you book. It also refers to a Good Faith Estimate, which you can ask for in writing covering the visit, the medication and the labs.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes and signs the testosterone prescription, and whether you will see that same clinician at each follow-up. Ask whether the pellets are the brand-name product or a compounded version. Ask whether the quoted price includes the medication, and whether any repeat pellet procedure is billed separately.
Ask which blood tests come before you start and during treatment, and what each one costs. Ask what checks happen before the first dose. Ask whether follow-up can be done by video, since the practice does not say. Ask how cancellation and refunds work if you decide to stop. Finally, ask which of its offices you would attend, since its care is spread across many towns.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want testosterone treatment from a practice that also handles full urology care, and you are willing to get the prescriber, the price and the lab costs in writing before you commit. If you are looking for a weight loss, peptide or longevity program, this practice does not list one.

We have not yet collected published prices or prescriber credentials for this clinic. When we do, they will appear here with a link to the page they came from — or a note saying the clinic publishes none, which is itself worth knowing. Call them for a price in the meantime.
