About Wildwood Integrative Healthcare

What is Wildwood Integrative Healthcare?

Wildwood Integrative Healthcare is an integrative clinic at 16111 Manchester Road, Suite 202, in Ellisville, Missouri. The phone number is 636-489-2000. Patricia Bauer, NP-C, is the adult nurse practitioner named as prescriber. The clinic's main work is a set of integrative services, and hormone therapy, listed as Hormone Balance, is one of them. The others include IV nutrient therapy, hyperbaric oxygen, ozone therapy, prolozone and PRP injections, cancer care, neural therapy, and whole body vibration. Patient appointments run Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Friday, 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM, is for administrative work only. On Google it has a 4.8 rating from 49 reviews.

The hormone service follows the BioTE method. The clinic describes its hormone replacement as bioidentical, made with custom-compounded creams, capsules, troches or pellets that contain testosterone, estrogen and/or progesterone. According to the clinic, dosing is based on measured hormone levels. Pellets are placed under the skin of the upper buttock and are optional. In its own words: "At Wildwood Integrative Healthcare, we are a Certified Provider of the BioTE ® Method of hormone optimization therapy."

What does it cost?

A new patient visit is $250, and a follow-up visit is $125. The first visit must be in person. The clinic splits the new patient fee: $50 is due when you schedule, and the remaining $200 is due on the day of the visit. That $50 is non-refundable, but you can reschedule as often as you need with at least 24 hours notice. Missing an appointment without cancelling adds a $50 charge before you can rebook.

The clinic is cash pay only. It does not bill insurance and does not work with HSAs. It does not publish a price for hormone medication or pellets, and it does not say whether the visit fee includes lab work or medication. Ask for those numbers before you book.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes the hormone prescription and who reviews your labs between visits. Ask whether your visit fees include the hormone medication, pellets and lab draws, since the clinic does not say. The hormones are described as custom-compounded, so ask whether each product is compounded or brand-name, and which pharmacy makes it. Ask what follow-up lab work costs and what a pellet insertion costs. Ask whether any follow-up can be done by telehealth, because the clinic does not mention it. Ask how many follow-up visits are expected before your plan is set, and what each one costs. To cancel, call the office with at least 24 hours notice. A voicemail is acceptable.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want hormone therapy from a named nurse practitioner, you can pay cash for visits and medication, and you can come in person. It is a poor fit if you need insurance billing or a published monthly price, since the clinic offers neither, or if you need telehealth, which it does not mention.
