About The Menopause Clinic MN
What is The Menopause Clinic MN?
The Menopause Clinic MN is a cash-pay menopause practice in Saint Paul, Minnesota. Michelle Chestovich, MD, is the one prescriber named. She is a board-certified family physician with 20 years of practice, including 17 years of delivering babies. Her listed training includes certification in menopause and hormone therapy and specialized cancer training.
Most of the practice is hormone therapy for perimenopause and menopause. It also offers Cancer Survivor Care and virtual visits, and it names testosterone as one option for some women. Dr. Chestovich prescribes FDA-approved hormone therapies and no pellets or unregulated compounded medications. In her words: "Bioidentical" is largely a marketing term.
What does it cost?
Every visit is paid out of pocket, priced per visit. The practice does not bill insurance. In its own words: "Insurance is not accepted, but I provide a superbill after every visit so you can seek reimbursement, and HSA/FSA cards are welcome."
A new patient consult of 60 minutes is $525. A new patient consult for cancer or BRCA survivors, 90 minutes, is $600. Follow-up visits are $275 for 30 minutes, $325 for 45 minutes, and $360 for a 45-minute follow-up for cancer or BRCA survivors.
It does not say whether the visit price includes medication. It does not publish membership terms, a cancellation policy, or what labs or imaging cost. It has opted out of Medicare, so visits are self-pay, though labs or imaging it orders may still be eligible for Medicare coverage. It welcomes Medicare and Medicaid patients.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the visit fee covers any medication. If testosterone or another hormone is part of your plan, ask the monthly cost of the prescription, whether it is billed separately, and the exact product name. Then you can check that it is FDA-approved and not compounded.
Ask what lab draws cost at Labcorp or Quest, since the practice sends labs there and does not publish prices. Ask how often follow-up visits are usually needed in the first year, and whether patient portal messages between visits are included.
No street address or phone number is shown, so ask for both before you book. Ask which states virtual visits cover, since that is not stated either. Ask how long the waitlist is, because the site has a join-waitlist button. Ask how cancellations and rescheduling work and whether a fee applies.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are in perimenopause or menopause, can pay per visit without insurance, and want an initial appointment of one hour with a physician who focuses on hormone care. It is a poor fit if you are looking for GLP-1 or medical weight loss, peptide therapy, or longevity care, since none of those are named.
