About Resilience Functional Medicine

What is Resilience Functional Medicine?

Resilience Functional Medicine is a functional medicine practice at 716 E. 71st St. in Savannah, GA 31405. It is located inside Vitality Acupuncture & Integrative Medicine. Its main work is hormone and metabolic care. It offers bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, peptide and emerging therapies, metabolic and weight optimization, and healthy aging and longevity programs, along with gut health, thyroid health and fatigue care.

Jessica Taylor, APRN, FNP-C, MSN, is the clinic's prescriber. The hormone medications it names are estrogen, progesterone and testosterone. They can be given as creams, gels or patches, by mouth for progesterone, by injection for testosterone, or as pellets using the EvexiPEL Method. It does not name the peptides it uses.

Hours are Monday to Thursday, 9am to 4pm, and Friday, 9am to 12pm. Routine follow-up visits can be in person or by telehealth. It has a 5-star rating on Google from 16 reviews.

In its own words: "Every new patient begins with an in-depth evaluation of their health history, symptoms, laboratory findings, lifestyle, and goals."

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices for hormone therapy or peptide therapy, and it does not publish a consultation fee. It does not bill insurance, so all care is cash pay. Memberships are listed at $115 a month for Foundation, $150 for Optimize and $225 for the highest tier, with couple rates of $200, $250 and $400. The membership page says membership pricing is for current clients and is discussed once the care plan is set.

The four-month program is $1300, or $325 a month, and includes one functional test valued at $450. The six-month program is $2100, or $350 a month, and includes two functional tests valued at $800. Membership covers follow-up visits, phone calls, messaging and prescription management. Functional testing is billed separately. It does not say whether hormone medication is included in membership fees, and it does not publish cancellation or auto-renewal terms.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether hormone medication is part of the monthly fee, since the clinic does not say. Ask whether the hormones would be brand-name or compounded, because the clinic describes bioidentical hormones as sometimes compounded to individual doses.

Ask what the consultation costs, and what the labs and functional tests cost and how often they are repeated. Ask which states it treats patients in by telehealth, since it does not say. Ask how cancellation works and whether membership renews automatically. If you are interested in weight loss medication, ask whether it offers GLP-1 or other medical weight loss medication, because it does not name either.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you are in or near Savannah, can pay cash, and want a months-long program that starts with testing and an individualized assessment before any hormone prescription is written. If you are looking specifically for a GLP-1 prescription, ask that question first.
