About Augusta Urology Associates

What is Augusta Urology Associates?

Augusta Urology Associates is a urology practice with offices in Evans and Augusta, Georgia, one of them a surgicenter. Most of what it does is urologic: prostate cancer, kidney stones, erectile dysfunction, urinary incontinence, vasectomy, penile implants and robotic surgery. Low testosterone is the one hormone service it names. It evaluates symptoms of low testosterone and offers testosterone replacement therapy as creams or gels, injections or subdermal pellet therapy. It does not name a specific testosterone medication, and it does not say how long it has been in practice.

Its team lists three physicians: Henry N. Goodwin, Jr., MD, J. Benjamin Kay, MD and Greg Simpson, DO. It also lists nurse practitioners and physician assistants, among them Shelby Athanaelos, Emily Rogers, FNP-C, Charles P. Bean, Jr., PA, E. Rachel Fink, DMSc, PA-C and Haley Umapathy, PA-C. It has an in-office dispensary, so medication can be obtained at the office instead of a separate pharmacy. It does not mention weight loss, peptide or longevity services.

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices or a consultation fee. It does not say whether medication is included in any cost, or whether it accepts insurance.

The one payment rule it states matters most for anyone paying out of pocket. From August 1, 2026, it no longer accepts cash payments for services, fees or other charges. Accepted forms of payment will include credit card, debit card, check or money order.

What should you ask before you book?

Start with the payment rule. Ask whether it still sees patients who pay on their own, and whether it bills insurance at all. Then ask what the first consultation costs. In its own words: "Your physician will begin with a consultation to review your symptoms, medical history, and lifestyle factors." Blood tests are typically ordered as part of the evaluation, so ask what the labs cost too.

Ask who would sign your prescription, and whether it would be one of the physicians or a nurse practitioner or physician assistant. Ask which testosterone form it would use and whether the medication is brand-name or compounded. Ask the monthly price of the medication, if there is one, and whether it is included in the visit fee. Ask what follow-up visits and monitoring labs cost, since it describes regular follow-up as part of treatment. It does not say whether telehealth is offered, so ask that. It also does not mention a membership, so ask whether any ongoing fee applies and how to stop it. The phone number is 706-722-0705.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want a testosterone evaluation from a urology practice that also treats men's urologic conditions, and you are ready to pay by card or check. If you were looking for a weight loss, peptide or longevity program, none is named, so ask about it before you book.
