About North Georgia Urgent Care

What is North Georgia Urgent Care?

North Georgia Urgent Care is mainly an urgent care and occupational medicine practice, with offices in Duluth and Suwanee. Its services also include immigration physicals, primary care, telemedicine, testosterone therapy, and weight loss and aesthetics. Walk-ins are welcome, and the clinic is open seven days a week.

Sinan Haddad, MD, is board-certified in family medicine. His biography says he directed and supervised a weight-loss center during a decade of work in aesthetics. Anthony Medina, PA-C, Sonya DiCara, FNP-C, and Angelina Lee, FNP-C are also listed as providers, but the clinic does not say which of them prescribes testosterone or weight loss medication. The testosterone program starts with a nurse visit and a blood panel. A provider then reviews the labs, and patients who qualify begin a set course of injections. The weight loss medications the clinic names are semaglutide and tirzepatide.

This listing is for its Duluth office at 1630 Pleasant Hill Rd, Suite 340.

What does it cost?

The first testosterone visit is $125 and includes a full hormone panel. Later testosterone visits are $100 each, and that price is stated to cover the medication and follow-ups. Semaglutide starts at $135 a month and tirzepatide at $175 a month. The clinic does not say whether those figures include the medication, and it lists no consultation fee for weight loss. It gives no price for lab work after the first panel or for telemedicine visits. It says it accepts self-pay and many major insurances, but it does not name them or say whether insurance covers hormone or weight loss care. Financing, HSA use, membership terms and cancellation are not mentioned.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who prescribes your testosterone, who prescribes the weight loss medication, and whether you will see the same person for follow-up. Ask whether the $100 visit covers the testosterone itself, whether the weight loss monthly price includes the medication, and whether that medication is brand-name or compounded. Ask what the weight loss consultation costs, which insurance plans they bill for these services, and whether telemedicine can replace in-person visits. Finally, ask how a monthly plan is cancelled and whether there is a commitment period.

Who is it a good fit for?

It suits you if you want hormone or weight loss care in the same place as urgent care and occupational physicals, and you are ready to get the prescriber, medication and cancellation terms in writing before you pay. Ask first if you want one named physician to manage a long course of hormone care and cannot get that answer up front.
