About Pinnacle Wellness Group

What is Pinnacle Wellness Group?

Pinnacle Wellness Group is a clinic in Port St. Lucie, Florida. Its main work is medication-assisted treatment for opioid and alcohol use disorder, using Suboxone, Sublocade, Brixadi and Vivitrol. It also runs men's and women's hormone replacement therapy and medical cannabis certification. Weight loss, peptide and longevity care are not among its listed services.

The clinic names Kenneth Palestrant, MD, as its physician. It is at 1680 Southeast Lyngate Drive Suite #204, Port St. Lucie, FL 34952, behind the CVS across from St. Lucie Medical Center. It is open Monday through Friday from 08:00 to 19:00, with hours that change by day. It lists a license from the State of Florida Department of Children’s and Families Services and accreditation from the Council on Accreditation. Google shows it at 4.2 from 37 reviews.

This listing is for its Port St. Lucie office at 1680 Southeast Lyngate Drive Suite #204.

What does it cost?

Its hormone programs are cash only. In its own words: "Pinnacle’s HRT program is self-pay and does not accept insurance for its services."

The men's program starts with a $250 initial physician visit, then $179 a month for visits and prescribed testosterone, either injectable or cream. The women's membership is $229 a month and covers visits plus progesterone, estradiol and/or testosterone cream. Patches are billed through insurance, and labs, imaging and procedures cost extra. Paying yearly, up front, saves 10%. Veterans, firefighters, paramedics and police officers get 15% off, which brings men's rates to $213 initial and $152 monthly. Payment is by credit or debit card, and fees are non-refundable.

Addiction care is listed at $250 for the first visit and $175 for each monthly follow-up, self-pay. Medical cannabis certification is $225 for the first visit, which covers a 7-month certification, and $150 to recertify. The clinic lists financial assistance for those who qualify, but it does not say whether it accepts insurance for addiction care. Membership renews month to month, and either side can end it with 30 days written notice.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask which provider signs the prescription for Suboxone, Sublocade, Brixadi or Vivitrol, and whether that is Kenneth Palestrant, MD. Ask whether the $175 monthly addiction care fee includes the medication. Ask whether the testosterone and women's hormone creams are brand-name or compounded. Ask what labs cost when they are not run through insurance, since missed labs can delay refills. Hormone prescriptions are filled only at Butterfield’s Pharmacy or Gardens Pharmacy, so check that works for you. Ask whether addiction follow-ups can be done by telemedicine, since the clinic describes that only for hormone visits.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want addiction treatment or hormone therapy that you pay for yourself, and you can get to the Port St. Lucie office or do hormone follow-ups by telemedicine. If you need addiction care billed to insurance, ask first, because the clinic does not say whether it takes insurance for that service.
