About Crew Health

What is Crew Health?

Crew Health is at 8601 Commodity Circle, Orlando, Florida 32819, and can be reached at 407-605-2252. Its tagline is "Affordable LGBT Health Care in Orlando, Florida." In its own words: "We are an Orlando-based primary care and infectious disease clinic that specializes in reducing sexually transmitted infections." So its main work is STI and HIV care, with primary care and gender-affirming care alongside it.

The services it lists are primary care, PEP, PrEP, hormone replacement therapy, birth control, trans and non-binary care, hepatitis C, HIV care, sexually transmitted infections, and behavioral health. Its PrEP information names Truvada and Descovy as examples of the pills used. It does not list any weight loss, peptide or longevity service.

The clinic does not name who prescribes, and it gives no names or credentials for its providers. Some care can be booked as a virtual visit, or by email or phone. Office hours are Monday and Wednesday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Tuesday 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, and closed Sunday. The same phone number is listed for an emergency on-call line, 24/7.

What does it cost?

Crew Health does not publish prices or a consultation fee. It does not say whether it accepts insurance. It does advertise free HIV and STI testing, and its goal this summer is to raise $25,000 for patient financial assistance. Nothing it publishes says whether medication, lab work or follow-up visits are included in any fee, so ask.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who prescribes and what credentials they hold. Its hormone page says that if the clinic is not your primary care provider, you should keep seeing that provider regularly. So ask who manages your hormone follow-up, and what those visits cost.

Ask whether hormones are offered for reasons other than gender-affirming care, such as testosterone or menopause hormones. The clinic does not say.

For PrEP, ask whether the fee includes the medication, whether the drug is brand-name or generic, and what each HIV test costs, since PrEP calls for testing every three months.

Ask whether the free testing covers the visit as well as the test, and whether follow-up care after a positive result is charged. Ask what the 24/7 on-call line covers and whether after-hours calls are billed. Finally, ask how to cancel any membership or ongoing plan, since none is described.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you are looking for STI testing, HIV or PrEP care, hepatitis C treatment, or gender-affirming hormone care in Orlando, and you want a clinic whose main work is in those areas. It is a poor fit if you are looking for weight loss, peptide or longevity medicine, because none of those are offered.

We have not yet collected published prices or prescriber credentials for this clinic. When we do, they will appear here with a link to the page they came from — or a note saying the clinic publishes none, which is itself worth knowing. Call them for a price in the meantime.
