About modern menopause Rx™
What is modern menopause Rx™?
modern menopause Rx™ is a practice for women in perimenopause and beyond. Its tagline reads "Hormone and Metabolic Care for Women in Perimenopause and Beyond." Dr. Liana Rodriguez, D.O., an osteopathic physician, founded it and is its prescriber. She says she has almost 20 years in practice: the first ten in the Air Force, in hospital settings, ICUs and internal medicine, and the next ten in functional medicine.
Its listed services are the Hormone & Metabolic Blueprint, the Hormone Clarity Visit, a Functional Health Panel and access to the Menopause Revealed™ Masterclass. It lists conditions including thyroid disorders, insulin resistance, Type 2 Diabetes, weight management, mold and mycotoxin illness, and chronic Lyme with coinfections. It does not say outright that it prescribes hormone therapy. It states that Dr. Rodriguez does not run a weight loss clinic. Peptide therapy and longevity medicine are not among its services.
Consults for patients in Florida or Pennsylvania are held by Zoom. It does not publish a street address or phone number, though a map listing places it in Jacksonville. Its Google rating is 5, from 20 reviews.
What does it cost?
The Hormone Clarity Visit is a $99 consult. In its own words: "The Hormone Clarity Visit is a $99 consult and I will review labs you already have, up to a year old."
It describes the Hormone & Metabolic Blueprint as the first step for every patient, but it does not publish a price for the Blueprint, the Functional Health Panel, follow-on care or medication. It does not say whether medication is included in any of them. It does not say what the labs cost, and it does not say whether it takes insurance. It also does not publish membership or cancellation terms. Labs are drawn at Labcorp or Walgreens with Labcorp on site, and results are about 5 to 7 business days from blood draw to visit.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether it prescribes hormone therapy, and whether it prescribes any GLP-1 medication, which it mentions only as something patients have already tried. Ask whether the cost of follow-on care includes medication, and whether any medication is part of the Blueprint plan. The plan includes specific supplements, so ask what they cost and whether any are compounded.
Ask what the Functional Health Panel costs, whether it is billed to insurance, and who orders and pays for follow-up labs. Ask whether it accepts insurance at all. It says not everyone is the right fit for full care, so ask what happens after the Blueprint if you are not selected. Finally, ask how to cancel and whether any part of the fees is refundable.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you live in Florida or Pennsylvania, want a physician to review labs you already have, and are willing to pay $99 for a consult before the full cost of any treatment is known. It makes less sense if you are looking for a weight loss clinic, since it says it is not one.
