What is CWH?
CWH is a women's health practice whose main work is gynecology and obstetrics. It offers four services: gynecology, obstetrics, mammography and bioidentical hormone replacement therapy (BHRT). Hormone treatment is one of those four, so this is an OB-GYN practice that also offers hormone therapy, not a hormone-only clinic.
Its prescribers include physicians such as Lynn Beauchamp, MD and Richard Brazzel, MD, and nurse practitioners such as Kelly Cynkar, ARNP and Krystyn Fox, ARNP. Jill Delker's profile lists bioidentical therapy among her specialties. All visits must be scheduled in advance, since walk-ins cannot be seen.
The BHRT service describes hormone replacement as patches, creams, pills or pellets, and says these contain estradiol, progestin and testosterone. It lists fatigue, night sweats, mood swings and trouble sleeping among symptoms of hormone imbalance. In its own words: "Your first appointment with your certified BioTE provider will include hormone testing." A second visit reviews those tests, after which therapy may begin.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices for any service, including BHRT, hormone testing and visits. It does not state a consultation fee. It accepts CareCredit and invites patients to check whether they prequalify for financing. Ask whether it bills insurance, whether it accepts HSA or FSA cards, and whether BHRT or hormone testing is covered.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask which prescriber will see you for BHRT, since the clinic does not say. Krystyn Fox, ARNP's profile lists BioTE certification, but that does not answer the question. Ask what the first visit, the hormone testing and the follow-up visits cost, and whether lab work is billed separately. Ask whether any price includes the medication itself, and whether the hormones are brand-name or compounded. Ask whether any part of your care can be done by telehealth, which the clinic does not describe. Finally, ask how to stop treatment and whether a cancellation fee applies.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a gynecology and obstetrics practice that also offers BHRT, and you are ready to confirm the prescriber, the prices and the insurance questions before you book.
