About Integrated Wellness Center

What is Integrated Wellness Center?

Integrated Wellness Center, or IWC, is a women's health and integrative medicine office at 10233 S Parker Rd. Ste 200, Parker, CO 80134. Its core services are gynecology and integrative medicine: annual exams, IUD insertion and removal, colposcopy, and consultations on menopause, PMS, irregular menses, contraception, infertility, thyroid concerns and more.

Hormone therapy, including bio-identical hormones, is one of several services. The others include functional medicine, nutrition, supplements, mild hyperbaric oxygen therapy (mHBOT), WBVM for lymphatic drainage, and Bio-Meridian energy balance evaluation. Susanna Sun Choi, M.D., is the one prescriber named. She has been in private practice since 1984, is board certified in OB/GYN, and is also board certified by the American Board of Integrative & Holistic Medicine and is a member of ACAM. Connie J. Wright, NA, BeP, MBe, a BioEnergetic practitioner who has worked with Dr. Choi since 2001, is not a prescriber.

The office is open Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and is closed on weekends. The phone number is 303-805-1264. Its Google listing shows a 4.7 rating from 32 reviews. Visitors are asked to avoid scented products on visit days because some staff and patients have chemical sensitivities.

What does it cost?

IWC does not publish prices for consultations, hormone therapy or medication. The one fee it lists is a $20.00 venipuncture (blood draw), due at the appointment. Labs ordered through Life Extension can be drawn at the office for the same $20.00 once you bring the requisition form. If you use Labcorp or another lab instead, that lab bills your insurance or you, depending on your coverage.

IWC accepts insurance, but it cannot confirm whether your individual plan is in network with Dr. Choi. It can tell you whether it takes a large carrier such as Blue Cross, so call your insurer directly. It does not accept Medicare, Medicaid or Tricare. Telehealth is not mentioned.

Ongoing care depends on a yearly visit. In its own words: "All patients must have an annual consultation with Dr. Choi to continue to receive alternative services in our office, receive any letters or to receive medication refills." Cancellation terms are not published.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether any hormone price you are quoted includes the medication or whether the drug is billed separately. Its bio-identical hormones are described as chemically compounded, so ask whether your prescription would be compounded and which pharmacy would fill it. Ask for the consultation fee, the cost of the annual visit, and what follow-up visits and lab work cost beyond the $20.00 draw.

Ask what happens to refills if the annual visit lapses. Refills can be requested by voicemail on extension 4 or through the patient portal, with a reply promised within 24 hours. Ask whether telehealth is available, whether Dr. Choi is in network with your plan, and how cancellation works. If you are interested in weight loss, GLP-1 or peptide treatment, ask directly, because IWC does not name any of those services.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want hormone therapy or a gynecology visit from a physician board certified in OB/GYN, in an office that also offers integrative services, and you are comfortable with a yearly visit as a condition of ongoing care. If you are looking for a medical weight loss, GLP-1 or peptide program, IWC does not name one, so ask before you book.
