About The Center for Women

What is The Center for Women?

The Center for Women is a women's health practice at 628 Hospital Drive, Ste. 2A, in Mountain Home, Arkansas. It is a gynecology and obstetrics clinic first, and hormone therapy is one of several services. It has offered women's health care since 2001, for patients 13 years and older in north-central Arkansas and southern Missouri. It is in Mountain Home, not in Springdale, Fayetteville or Rogers.

The clinic offers bioTE hormone pellet therapy, and it says it "offers hormone therapy to both men and women." Its other services include bone mineral density testing, colposcopy, endometrial biopsy, ultrasound, IUD and Nexplanon placement and removal, Mona Lisa Touch laser therapy, and urodynamic testing. Two medications are named: ProliA injection and Reclast infusion. The clinic does not name the doctor or nurse who prescribes, and it gives no credentials for any prescriber. It does not list a weight loss or GLP-1 program.

Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The clinic lists a TeleMed option, where a nurse decides whether a TeleMed appointment is appropriate. The notice appears on its COVID-19 plan and does not name the states it covers. Procedures, ultrasounds, bone density tests and labs still require an office visit.

In its own words: "certified BioTe Hormone providers" are on staff.

What does it cost?

The clinic does not publish prices for hormone pellet therapy, lab work, or procedures. The only price on its material is $129 for the SneakPeek early gender DNA test, which is a separate service and not a hormone treatment. The clinic does not say whether any fee includes the pellets, the medication or the lab work. It also does not say whether insurance is accepted. Call (870) 425-7300 and ask for a full price list before you book.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who will prescribe your treatment and what credentials that person holds, since the clinic does not name them. Ask whether the pellet fee includes the hormones, the placement and the follow-up labs, and what each costs on its own. Ask what ProliA or Reclast costs, whether the medication is billed separately, and whether either one is brand-name or compounded. Ask whether insurance is accepted or whether you would pay the full cost yourself. If you think you might use TeleMed, ask which insurers cover it and which states the clinic can serve by that route. Finally, ask how follow-up visits are billed and how you would stop care if you change your mind.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you live in or near north-central Arkansas or southern Missouri and want a women's health clinic with hormone pellet therapy, gynecology and procedures in one place. It is not the right fit if you came specifically for a weight loss program, since none is listed.
