About SYNOLO WELLNESS
What is SYNOLO WELLNESS?
SYNOLO WELLNESS is a cash-pay women's hormone practice at 1501 N University Ave, Suite 760, Little Rock, AR 72207, phone 501-255-3282. Kristi Jones, APRN, is the one prescriber named. She is a nurse practitioner who has been in family practice for almost two decades. Its services are bioidentical hormones, menopause, fatigue and thyroid issues, polycystic ovarian syndrome (PCOS), stress and adrenal hormones, gut health, personalized lab testing, functional medicine, supplementation, and a testing option called My Baseline Test Kit. The hormones named are bioidentical estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone. It does not list weight loss, GLP-1 or peptide treatment among its services.
In its own words: "We recognize the personal needs of every patient and individualize each patient’s hormone imbalance treatment specifically for them."
Visits are in person at the Little Rock office, and follow-up visits can be in person or virtual. The practice serves Little Rock, North Little Rock, Conway, Jacksonville, Benton, Sherwood, Cabot, Maumelle, Bryant, and surrounding areas. Google shows a 5 rating from 37 reviews.
What does it cost?
It publishes two visit fees. A New Patient Appointment, lasting 90 to 120 minutes, is $399. A Follow-up Appointment, lasting 30 minutes, is $299. It does not say whether either fee includes medication or labs, and it does not post prices for hormones, lab panels or supplements. Those are priced according to each patient's needs, so ask for the numbers before you commit.
It takes cash only. It does not participate with any insurance carriers, will not submit medical claims for you, and sees patients on a self-pay, fee-for-service basis. Many services may be covered by a health savings account, but check with your plan manager first. Subscriptions can be canceled at any time, but it does not explain what a subscription includes.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with the medication. Ask whether the $299 follow-up includes the hormone prescription. Ask whether it is filled at a conventional pharmacy or a compounding pharmacy, since the practice describes both, and compounded forms are made in customized doses. The cost can differ between them, so get the number in writing.
Ask who writes and renews the prescription, and whether that is Kristi Jones, APRN, at every visit. Then ask about the rest. What do the cortisol and DHEA tests cost, and when are they billed? Can your follow-ups be virtual? What does a full year of care add up to? How do you cancel, and what does a subscription include?
Confirm the hours by phone before you drive over. The posted hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, but some listings show the office open every day.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are a woman in the Little Rock area who can pay the full cost yourself and want hormone, thyroid, or functional medicine care from a nurse practitioner. If you are a man, or you are looking for weight loss, GLP-1 or peptide treatment, ask first, since the practice is built around women's care and does not list those services.
