About Direct Integrative Health
What is Direct Integrative Health?
Direct Integrative Health of Hot Springs is a cash-pay practice focused on women's health in midlife. Dr. Mandy Rice, DO, MSCP, runs it from The Rix Bldg, 1401 Malvern Ave, suite 274, Hot Springs National Park, AR 71901. The phone number is (501) 359-3793.
Dr. Rice is the only prescriber named. The clinic describes her as dual-board certified in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, and as a Menopause Society certified physician. She also runs her own surgical practice, Direct Surgical Care of Hot Springs, and spends 2 to 3 days a month in the Dallas area.
In its own words: "physician-directed, midlife women's health and wellness including natural, bioidentical hormone replacement and lifestyle coaching." The practice offers four services: an initial consultation of 60 to 90 minutes, follow-up visits of up to 60 minutes, telehealth visits of up to 30 minutes for established patients in the maintenance phase of care, and a monthly membership. All patients get portal and email access to Dr. Rice, a monthly newsletter, and a monthly group video meeting. It does not list weight loss or peptide therapy, and it does not publish hours.
What does it cost?
The initial consultation is $500 in person or $350 by telehealth. Booking requires a $100 deposit, and $25 of it is refundable if you cancel or reschedule within 48 hours. A follow-up visit is $300, or $200 by telehealth. A telehealth visit for an established patient in maintenance care is $100.
The membership is $150 a month and covers follow-up and telehealth visits each month. It is for established patients only. There is no minimum commitment, and you can cancel at any point.
The clinic is not in-network with third-party payers, so expect to pay for visits yourself. It accepts HSA, FSA, cash, credit, ACH bank transfer and cryptocurrency. Lab work is available at wholesale cash pricing, or through your primary physician. Insurance may still apply to outside orders such as lab work, bone density scans and imaging. The clinic does not say whether any visit price includes medication, and it does not publish medication costs.
What should you ask before you book?
Who writes the prescriptions, and will Dr. Rice write yours herself? She is the only prescriber named.
Does the $150 membership include any medication, or is it billed separately? Ask for the monthly total with the medication included.
Is the hormone product brand-name or compounded, and what does it cost each month?
What do follow-up labs, bone density scans and imaging cost in cash, and which of them can your insurance still cover?
How often will you see Dr. Rice in person, given her time in Hot Springs and Dallas, and who covers for her when she is away?
How do you cancel a membership, and what are the clinic hours?
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you are a woman in midlife who wants a physician-led relationship focused on hormones and lifestyle, and you are ready to pay the full cost yourself. It is not the right call if you came for weight loss or peptide therapy, since the clinic offers neither.
