About Mid-Delta Health Systems

What is Mid-Delta Health Systems?

Mid-Delta Health Systems is a community health center that has been providing care for 40 years. It receives HHS funding and is a Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) deemed facility. Most of its work is primary and family care: medical services covering preventive care, chronic disease management and urgent care, plus pediatrics, women's health, immunizations and dental care for cleanings, fillings and extractions. It recommends scheduling medical visits but takes walk-ins for urgent care. It does not name a prescriber.

Its other services include behavioral health with counseling and medication management, nutrition counseling from registered dietitians, an exercise facility, help with insurance enrollment, free legal aid for eligible individuals and families, medication-assisted treatment for opioid or alcohol addiction, tobacco cessation, COVID-19 testing, vaccines and treatment, and HIV testing and PrEP. Telehealth is available for medical and behavioral care. In its own words: "Yes, we offer telemedicine services for medical and behavioral health care."

Its team can help manage hot flashes, night sweats and mood changes, and can give guidance on hormone therapy options. It does not say whether it prescribes hormone therapy as a treatment. It does not describe a medical weight loss program, peptide therapy or longevity medicine.

What does it cost?

It does not publish prices for any service. It offers a sliding fee scale based on income and family size, and it says it turns no one away based on the ability to pay. Legal aid is free to eligible individuals and families. It says it accepts most major health insurers and asks patients to contact it to confirm their plan.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask whether your specific plan is accepted, since it confirms only that it accepts most major health insurers. Ask what a visit, a follow-up and any lab work would cost on the sliding scale for your income and family size. If you want hormone therapy, ask whether a clinician there prescribes it and who that clinician is. Ask for hours and staff at the clinic you would visit, because the company does not publish hours for itself as a whole. If you are after weight loss, peptide or longevity care, ask directly, since none of those is described.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want primary, dental, behavioral or pediatric care from a community health center, with fees set on a sliding scale. It is not a fit if you are looking for a paid medical weight loss, hormone or peptide program, since none of those is described.

We have not yet collected published prices or prescriber credentials for this clinic. When we do, they will appear here with a link to the page they came from — or a note saying the clinic publishes none, which is itself worth knowing. Call them for a price in the meantime.
