About Prime Men's Health

What is Prime Men's Health?

Prime Men's Health is a men's health and hormone practice that delivers most of its care through virtual visits, with physical clinic locations alongside. It offers testosterone replacement therapy (TRT), a medical weight loss program, erectile dysfunction treatment and peptide therapy. The weight loss program uses the GLP-1 medications semaglutide and tirzepatide. It says it provides compounded versions of both, not the name brands.

It lists offices in Minneapolis, Louisville and Fort Lauderdale. It does not publish a street address for Minneapolis, and it does not list clinic hours. Its medical content is reviewed by John Webb, MD, MBA, but it does not name the physician who prescribes. Its process has four steps: a quick consult, an at-home lab kit or a draw at a national partner lab, a virtual provider visit, then medication shipped to your door. In its own words: "You do not have to visit the clinic to begin treatment." Its telehealth testosterone program covers Minnesota, one of the 36 states where it offers it. Its Google rating is 4.9 from 13 reviews.

What does it cost?

The first consultation is free. Lab testing is listed at $99. A $99 new patient offer covers an initial consultation, an initial home lab kit, a telehealth visit and a treatment plan with a prescription as needed. It does not say whether medication is included in that $99. It does not publish prices for TRT, the weight loss medications, erectile dysfunction treatment or peptide therapy. It says treatment costs depend on what the physician prescribes.

It does not take insurance. Patients can use a Health Savings Account, and its FAQ says most services are HSA or FSA eligible. There are no contracts, and you can cancel at any time.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who prescribes, and whether that physician is licensed in Minnesota. Ask whether the $99 offer includes the medication, and what each weight loss medication costs per month. Ask what compounded means for semaglutide and tirzepatide, since the clinic provides compounded versions and not the name brands.

Ask whether TRT will require an in-person exam, which state rules may require. Ask whether in-person visits are offered in Minneapolis. Ask what follow-up visits and lab work cost, including the PSA testing its TRT program lists every six months. Finally, ask how to cancel.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want to start with a virtual visit and home lab work, you are comfortable with compounded medication, and you can get answers on the prescriber, medication pricing and in-person visits before you pay. If you need an in-person office visit in Minneapolis, call first, because no Minneapolis street address is published.
