About ESSENTIAL REMEDY
What is Essential Remedy?
Essential Remedy is a medical practice in Eagan, Minnesota, at 860 Blue Gentian Road, Suite 125. Torri Washington, APRN, MSN, prescribes. It offers hormone replacement therapy for women and for men, medical weight loss, peptide therapy, and virtual quick care or urgent care for conditions such as urinary tract infections, flu and COVID. It also offers female and male "sex shot" treatments, follow-up visits and lab work.
The weight loss program uses GLP-1 medications alongside supplements and lifestyle changes. Visits can be virtual or in person, and in-person visits are currently offered on Fridays. It has a Google rating of 5 from 3 reviews.
What does it cost?
The consultation is $249 for a 60-minute visit, virtual or in person. Follow-up visits are $99 for 30 minutes. Hormone replacement therapy is $200 to $400 for women and $200 to $600 for men. Medical weight loss is $275 to $550 a month, and peptide therapy starts at $250 a month. Quick care is $39 for established patients and $60 for new patients. The female sex shot is $1000 and the male sex shot is $1250.
Labs can be billed to insurance through Quest, or paid through the practice, where most recommended panels cost $250 or less. If lab work is recommended, the visit to review the lab results is included in the consult fee.
It does not participate in insurance plans, including Medicare. It provides a superbill you can submit to your insurer for possible out-of-network benefits, and it accepts HSA and FSA cards, with a card on file before the first appointment. The weight loss and peptide price lines do not say whether medication is included. A current promotion offers up to 95% off the consultation in exchange for sharing a success story and taking part in feedback sessions, and says medications and lab work are not included in that offer.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the monthly weight loss or peptide fee includes the medication, and which medication it is. It does not publish whether the medication is brand-name or compounded, so ask that directly. Ask what the monthly fee covers, how many visits and labs it includes, and whether there is a minimum term.
Ask how cancellation works and whether there is a fee, since it does not publish cancellation terms. Ask whether telehealth covers states outside Minnesota, since it does not state a service area. Ask what specialty lab tests cost before any are ordered, and what hormone therapy will cost each month once labs are in. If you use the consultation offer, ask what sharing a success story involves.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you can reach the Eagan office or join by video from Minnesota, and you are ready to pay for visits, medication and labs without insurance. If that sounds right, it is worth calling before you book.
