What is Tavicare Functional Medicine Clinic?
Tavicare is a functional medicine clinic in Chevy Chase, Maryland, at 5530 Wisconsin Ave, Suite 1125. It's led by Delara Tavakoli, M.D., a board certified OB/GYN. The practice blends functional and wellness medicine with gynecology. The menu covers medical weight loss with Semaglutide and Tirzepatide injections, IV and NAD therapy, peptide therapy, hormone replacement (including bioidentical hormones, pellet therapy, and testosterone for men), thyroid care, aesthetics like RenaFace facial tightening, hyperbaric oxygen (HBOT) and ozone therapy, sexual wellness treatments, and standard gynecology such as annual well-woman exams and contraceptive counseling.
What does it cost?
No pricing is published. The site notes that protocols "start with lab testing and a consultation," but it doesn't put a dollar figure on that consultation, the labs, or any treatment. So you'll need to call for numbers before committing.
Who is it for?
This fits someone who wants a physician-led functional medicine approach (hormones, weight loss, peptides, longevity) and values that the founder is also a board certified OB/GYN, which makes it a fit for women who want gynecology and wellness care in the same place. Expect a lab-and-consult workup rather than a same-day prescription.
When is it open?
Monday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Tuesday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Wednesday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Thursday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Friday 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Closed Saturday and Sunday.
What we couldn't confirm
No pricing or consult fee is posted, even though every protocol begins with paid lab testing and a consult. Whether they take insurance or run cash-pay isn't stated. Telehealth isn't mentioned. And no providers beyond Dr. Tavakoli are named.
