What is Next Health?
Next Health is a health optimization and longevity center. Four of its services match what this directory covers: weight loss, hormone care, peptide therapy and longevity testing. Its weight loss work runs as the Medical Weight Loss Program and the Weight Optimization Program. Hormone care is called Hormone Optimization (BHRT). Its longevity testing centers on the Executive Physical, which includes biomarker testing, full-body MRI and a chest CT scan.
Dr. Darshan Shah, MD, is the founder and CEO. The rest of its services include Therapeutic Plasma Exchange, IV Therapy, NAD+ Therapy, Vitamin Shots, Ozone Therapy, EBOO Therapy, Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy, LED Infrared Therapy, Functional Medicine Consultation, Wellness Technology and Next Beauty Aesthetics. It has offices in several states and countries, and hours, staff and some details belong to each office.
What does it cost?
Next Health lists a Baseline Test at $299, a Total Wellness Package at $2,999 and an Executive Physical at $14,500. The Baseline Test is a starter panel covering 50 core aspects of health. Its weight loss program requires a baseline blood test within the last 90 days to begin. It does not publish prices for weight loss, hormone care or peptide therapy, and it does not say whether the medication is included in any fee.
The weight loss program requires a Medicine 4.0 membership. It does not publish that membership's price or cancellation terms. In its own words: "Reserve your complimentary private consult with one of our experts." Insurance may cover the weight loss program in some cases, but it does not say whether it bills insurance.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with the prescriber. Ask which provider signs your prescription and whether that provider works at your office. Dr. Darshan Shah, MD, is the only physician the company names. Ask whether the membership fee includes the medication, and whether the medication is brand-name or compounded. Its weight loss material names semaglutide or tirzepatide in one place and describes prescriptions as peptide therapy elsewhere, so confirm which one you would receive.
Ask what follow-up visits cost, including the quarterly consults and blood work the membership covers, and what the baseline tests cost at your office. Ask how to cancel a membership and whether there is a fee. Ask whether telehealth is offered, since it does not say. Finally, ask your office for its hours.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want longevity testing, a membership-based weight loss program or hormone care, and you are ready to settle the prescriber, medication and fee questions before you pay for anything. It makes less sense if you need prices and medication details in writing before you call.
