What is Medical Weight Controls?
Medical Weight Controls describes itself as a family business. It sells weight-loss injections and supplements through an online store and also offers in-clinic services. In its own words: "Helping our friends and family reach their health goals for 20 years and counting."
Its weight-loss injections are S-Factor2, sold as semaglutide, and T-Factor, which is described as tirzepatide with B12. Other listed services are CoolSculpting, Botox injections, IV therapy, peptide therapy, glutathione injections, and NAD+ as an injection or oral troche. It does not name a prescriber. It has a telehealth section and its product names carry "Tele," but it does not say whether a visit can be done by video.
What does it cost?
Its online prices for S-Factor2 4-packs run from $250 for the 0.25mg dose to $600 for 2.5mg, with $350 for 0.50mg in between. T-Factor 4-packs run from $450 for 2.5mg to $750 for 10mg, with $550 for 5mg and $650 for 7.5mg. Taxes and shipping are calculated at checkout. It does not say how many weeks a 4-pack covers.
The consultation is listed as free. It does not publish prices for CoolSculpting, Botox, IV therapy, peptide therapy or its other services. It does not say whether follow-up visits or labs cost extra. The tirzepatide description says labs (CBC, CMP, A1C, thyroid panel and lipid panel) must be presented within six months or drawn in the clinic. It does not say whether it bills insurance.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes the prescription and which office that person works from, since the company does not name a prescriber. Ask whether S-Factor2 and T-Factor are brand-name medicines or compounded, and who makes them.
Ask whether a 4-pack covers a set number of weeks, and what follow-up visits and the lab panel cost. Ask whether labs from another provider within six months are accepted, as the tirzepatide description suggests. If you have type 2 diabetes, ask how the clinic coordinates with your primary care provider, since its tirzepatide description asks those patients to tell theirs.
Ask whether a visit can be done by video, whether the free consultation is by phone or in person, whether it bills insurance, and how cancellation and refunds work. It does not publish cancellation terms.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a weight-loss injection sold online and are comfortable getting the prescriber's name, the length of a 4-pack and the visit and lab costs in writing before you pay. If you want a named prescriber and full published prices, it is worth a call to ask those questions before you book.
