About Optimized Health
What is Optimized Health?
Optimized Health is a medical practice in Timonium, Maryland, that describes itself as offering weight loss and aesthetics services. Its weight loss program combines medical supervision, motivation, diet and exercise. Prescriptions go to compounding pharmacies, and the medication is mailed to the patient. Patients who want it can also come to the office for injections. The medications it names are GLP-1, semaglutide, tirzepatide, AOD-9604 and vitamin B-12. The practice also offers peptide therapy, anti-aging treatments, hair restoration, neurotoxin and filler injections, ProCell microchanneling and a skin care line it describes as coming soon.
The prescribers it names are Justin Rohrback CRNP, FNP-BC, RN, CST, and Carly Stahlman, RN. Justin Rohrback's page says he brings over a decade of health care experience and is a board-certified family nurse practitioner. The practice does not publish a street address or office hours, and it does not say whether any part of care is done by telehealth.
What does it cost?
The weight loss program starts with a $100 evaluation, which is applied to the first month's membership. The monthly fee is $310.50 for GLP-1 and $550 for tirzepatide. Each monthly plan includes labs collected at Labcorp, evaluation and follow-up, nutrition coaching, medication, supplies, and weekly B-12 injections that can be given in the office or at home. Oral medications are priced at the visit. The peptide program has a $150 initial evaluation and a $50 monthly follow-up, with medication prices set by the compounding pharmacies and discussed during the visit.
Aesthetic prices are listed per unit or per session. Neurotoxin is $12 per unit. Filler is $700 per syringe, and dissolving filler placed at another practice is $400 per vial. ProCell microchanneling is $400 per face session or $900 for a three-session pack. The hair series is $400 per session, with the first two at $800, the third and fourth at $640, and the fifth and sixth at $480. The practice states that it does not take insurance: "At Optimized Health we do not accept insurance of any type." It does not mention financing, an HSA, or cancellation terms for membership, and it says its fees are "subject to change."
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who writes your prescription and who reviews your labs and follow-up, since the two named people are a nurse practitioner and a registered nurse. Ask whether the GLP-1 or tirzepatide is a brand-name product or a compounded one, because the practice says its medications come from compounding pharmacies. Ask whether the $310.50 or $550 monthly fee covers everything you will be billed for, and what oral medications cost. Ask how you cancel a monthly membership and whether there is a minimum term. Ask whether any follow-up labs cost extra, and whether any part of your care can be done by video. Finally, ask for the street address and office hours before you travel to Timonium.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a cash-pay weight loss program with a monthly fee that includes the medication, and you are comfortable confirming the prescriber, the drug source and the cancellation terms in writing before you pay. If you need the address, hours and telehealth details before you decide, call the office at (484)619-3082 first.
