About MIORA
What is MIORA?
MIORA is a medical practice with locations in Minnesota, Illinois, Colorado, Florida, Nevada, Tennessee and Texas. The Minnesota location is not tied to a named town or street address. Its three main programs are medical weight loss, hormone optimization, and performance and longevity care, and it also offers peptides, compounds and medication access. Each patient is matched with a dedicated Medical Provider. Each state has its own Medical Director. For Minnesota, that is Dr. Gregory Pippert, who is board certified in Integrative Medicine. He brings three decades of clinical experience and 15+ years in integrative and anti-aging medicine.
The weight loss program uses the GLP-1 medications semaglutide and tirzepatide. Sermorelin and OS-01 are listed as weight loss support peptides. Metformin is also named as a medication MIORA can prescribe when clinically appropriate. Hormone therapy covers testosterone, estrogen and progesterone. Blood panels test 70+ biomarkers. Google lists the practice with a rating of 5 from 49 reviews, under the category Medical spa.
What does it cost?
Three monthly programs are offered. Weight Loss is $149 a month, Hormone Optimization is $119 a month, and Performance & Longevity is $89 a month. MIORA does not say whether the $149 covers the medication itself. The Weight Loss program includes ongoing access to a Medical Provider, quarterly lab testing with follow-ups, and oversight of medication.
Membership starts with a one-time fee for an initial metabolic assessment, but no amount is given for that fee. The first step is a complimentary discovery call, which you can book through the Life Time member app, by calling a clinic, or in person. MIORA does not say whether it accepts insurance. On cancellation, it states: "We understand life happens." You can stop care at any time by contacting the clinic or cancelling in your patient portal.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether the monthly fee includes the medication. If it does not, ask what a GLP-1 costs on top of the $149. Prescriptions are filled through compounding and specialty pharmacies, so also ask whether the GLP-1 you would receive is brand-name or compounded.
Ask who writes your prescription, whether that is Dr. Pippert or your assigned Medical Provider. Ask what the initial assessment costs and what each blood panel costs, since retesting happens every 3 to 6 months. Ask whether telehealth visits are offered, because that is not stated. No phone number, hours or Minnesota street address is published, so ask which office you would attend and when it is open. Ask whether insurance is billed, and confirm how a cancellation stops the monthly charge.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a monthly program with a named physician and regular lab monitoring, you expect to pay for medication yourself, and you want every price in writing before you commit. If you need a published address, phone number, hours or insurance terms before you book, wait until you have those in front of you.
