## What does Self Care LA offer?
The weight-loss side names semaglutide, tirzepatide and Zepbound, and adds B12 with MIC injections. Peptide therapy is sold under in-house blend names: WOLVERINE (BPC-157 + TB500), GLOW-70 (GHK-Cu / BPC-157 / TB500), NAD+, and 2X BLEND (CJC-1295 + Ipamorelin). Hormone work covers both conventional hormone replacement and bioidentical hormone replacement, with Biote pellets, estrogen, progesterone and testosterone named on the page. ## What does it cost?
The published pricing belongs to one thing only: a virtual weight-loss program tied to a Lilly Direct arrangement. Membership is $175 a month and auto-renews. The dosage table then prints medication cost beside a total that already includes the membership. At 2.5 mg the medication is $349 and the all-in monthly figure is $599. At 5 mg it is $499 and $749. At 7.5 mg it is $599 and $849. At 10 mg it is $699 and $949. That program is also the only place the site addresses coverage, and its words are "Not covered by insurance: This program is out-of-pocket only." The in-office weight-loss program, peptide therapy and hormone replacement all publish no figure at all. The clinic states its reasoning plainly: "we don't do one-size-fits-all pricing because we don't do one-size-fits-all medicine."
## Who would I see?
Four people are named. Dr. Bharat Kothakota is listed as a board-certified emergency medicine physician and medical director. Nurelle Gamliel is listed as a "Board Certified Physicians Assistant," in the clinic's own spelling. Allie Sams is the practice manager and a certified wellness and nutrition coach, not a prescriber. Eliana York is a certified medical assistant.
## What could we not confirm?
No consultation fee is published anywhere we looked, including the terms page. No commitment length, deposit, no-show rule or cancellation policy is published either; the terms page is generic website terms of use. The site never says who the programs are for, and never lays out a step-by-step process. Virtual care is mentioned only as "Bi-weekly virtual check-ins with our licensed medical provider," with no list of states. The clinic keeps one Santa Monica office, open Monday 10AM to 4PM, Tuesday through Thursday 9AM to 5PM, Friday 10AM to 5PM, and closed weekends. All of this was checked on 22 September 2026.
