About Longév
What is Longév?
Longév is a physician-led longevity and functional medicine practice in La Jolla, California, at 888 Prospect Street. Two physicians prescribe there: Dr. Secilia Salem, M.D., who covers functional and longevity medicine along with hormone and metabolic health, and Dr. Brandon Kalasho, D.O., who covers interventional spine care and regenerative orthopedics, including PRP injections, bone marrow aspirate concentrate, micro-fragmented adipose tissue, and shockwave therapy. The practice also offers regenerative aesthetics and IV nutrition therapy. It does not list weight loss medication such as GLP-1 drugs as a service, and peptide therapy is not offered as its own treatment category. Certain services are available by telehealth; the office asks that you call to find out which ones apply to you. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
What does it cost?
Longév runs on membership rather than per-visit pricing. Its entry tier, Core Longevity, is $275 a month, or $3,000 a year, and includes two physician visits annually, a longevity lab panel, body composition analysis, and nutrition counseling. A second, higher tier runs $550 a month, or $6,000 a year, and adds quarterly visits, annual VO2 max testing, a biomarker tracking dashboard, and a $500 IV or aesthetic credit. The top tier, Concierge Executive, is limited to 50 members and priced by request rather than published. In its own words: "No insurance required. No referrals. Just results." Dr. Salem's functional and longevity services are cash-pay only, while Dr. Kalasho's interventional spine procedures accept most insurance. Outside membership, time-limited programs are also sold, among them a six-week Longevity Reset for $3,000 and a twelve-week Hormone Reset for $2,500, each convertible to a $500 membership credit if you join within 30 days of finishing.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask whether your monthly membership fee covers any medication you end up needing, or whether hormone therapy and supplements are billed on top of it. Ask which physician you'll actually see for your ongoing visits, since Dr. Salem and Dr. Kalasho work in different areas of the practice. If you're considering one of the flat-fee programs instead of a membership, ask exactly how the credit toward membership works and what the deadline is. Ask what the terms are for cancelling a monthly membership, since none are published. If a procedure might be billed through insurance, as some of Dr. Kalasho's spine treatments can be, ask how that is separated from the cash-pay membership fee on your bill.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want an ongoing relationship with a physician built around diagnostics, labs, and preventive planning, and you're comfortable paying a recurring fee rather than going through insurance. It is a poor match if what you're actually looking for is GLP-1 weight loss medication or peptide therapy on its own, since neither is offered here.
