About Midlifesy

What is Midlifesy?

Midlifesy is a private-pay midlife health practice at 28 South Pitt Street in Carlisle, Pennsylvania. It was founded by Jamie Shirey, FNP-BC, a nurse practitioner with more than 25 years in healthcare, and your review visit is with her. Women are its main focus, with care also available for men.

Care is built around what it calls the SHIFT Method, which looks at sleep, stress, hormones, inflammation, insulin, fitness and tracking together. There are three main pathways. Hormone Rebalance is for women going through hormonal change. Metabolic Reset covers weight and metabolic health and includes GLP-1 therapy when clinically appropriate. Peak Performance is for men and includes testosterone support when appropriate. It also offers regenerative aesthetics, with details given on request.

Every patient starts with a Clarity Consult, which you purchase. Then come an intake, lab testing (results generally take about 10 days to two weeks), a personal review with Jamie, a 12-week program and ongoing maintenance, with visits commonly about every three months. Care is offered in person and by telehealth across Pennsylvania.

What does it cost?

Midlifesy does not publish prices. The Clarity Consult has to be purchased, but its price isn't listed, and neither is the cost of labs, the 12-week programs or maintenance. It describes itself as a private-pay practice and says HSA/FSA eligible services may apply. Ask directly whether any part of your care can go through insurance.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask what the Clarity Consult costs and whether it counts toward a program. Ask the total price of a 12-week program, what it includes, and what maintenance costs after that. If GLP-1 therapy is part of your plan, ask which medication, whether it's brand-name or compounded, and whether the medication is in the program price. Ask what the labs cost and who bills for them. Ask which services are HSA or FSA eligible. No phone number is posted, so ask how to reach the practice between visits.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you're a woman in Pennsylvania going through midlife changes and want a program run by a nurse practitioner that looks at hormones and metabolism together, in person in Carlisle or by telehealth. If you want a single prescription without a program around it, this may not be the right match.
