About MDLifespan
What is MDLifespan?
MDLifespan is a longevity practice built around therapeutic plasma exchange (TPE), offered as Advanced TPE and PlasmaXchange. In its own words: "Therapeutic Plasma Exchange is an established, minimally invasive procedure." The practice is physician-led, and Dr. Paul Savage, M.D. is the physician named as prescriber.
Its service list includes MDL Longevity, MDL TPE 1, MDL Toxin, MDL Brain, MDL Heart, MDL Anti-Cancer, MDL Immunity, MDL Baby and MDL Mold. It also offers test panels, including an aging panel, a heart panel, an immune panel and a neurotransmitter panel. Its blog says the longevity team has experience with hormone therapy assistance, but hormone therapy is not on its service list. New patients start with a sign-up call with a patient service advisor, then complete a questionnaire and blood work before a first consultation. That first visit can be held virtually.
What does it cost?
It does not publish prices. The 30-minute consultation with a physician is free. Beyond that, it does not say what TPE, the MDL protocols, the test panels or follow-up visits cost. It does not say whether medication or IV infusions are included in the cost of TPE, and it does not say whether it accepts insurance. Ask for a written price list before you agree to a first treatment.
What should you ask before you book?
Ask who signs your prescriptions and how often you would see the physician after the first visit. Ask whether a TPE program fee covers medication and IV infusions, and whether blood work and test panels are billed separately. If hormones or other medications are part of your plan, ask whether they are brand-name or compounded, and which pharmacy fills them.
Ask whether the practice bills insurance, and request an itemized estimate for your first three months. Ask how cancellation and refunds work, since no terms are published. Finally, ask which office you would be booked with, and confirm its hours and address before you pay anything.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want a physician-led plasma exchange program and are ready to get the full cost, medication and follow-up details in writing before you commit. If those answers stay vague after you ask, it is reasonable to wait before you book.
