About Living Young Center

What is Living Young Center?

Living Young Center is a medical spa with offices in Seminole, Palm Harbor, St. Petersburg and Odessa, Florida. Most of what it offers is cosmetic: Botox and other neurotoxins, dermal fillers, laser hair removal, microneedling, Morpheus8 and chemical peels. Its wellness menu covers the medical side, with a medically supervised weight loss program using compounded Semaglutide, bio-identical hormone replacement, peptide therapy, IV therapy and LDN therapy. Thyroid testing and a range of specialty lab tests are listed too.

The practice was opened in 2007 by founder and CEO Katie Kaffai and has been open for over 18 years. Its team includes doctors, nurse practitioners and master injectors, but no prescriber is named. It has a Google rating of 4.9 from 577 reviews, listed as a medical spa. Patients are served from Tampa Bay, Clearwater, Tarpon Springs and Dunedin as well. In its own words: "We provide a medically-supervised weight loss program that addresses the issue from numerous angles."

This listing is for its Saint Petersburg office at 5156 Central Avenue.

What does it cost?

Semaglutide is priced by program length. A 4-week program is $400, an 8-week program is $750 and a 12-week program is $1,050. It does not say whether the medication is included in those totals. New patients pay a one-time $75 initial consultation fee. Current weight loss or hormone patients pay no extra for that wellness visit and can add Semaglutide for $75 a week. A 90-day take-home supply of Semaglutide Micro Dose is listed at $750.

Labs may be needed before starting, drawn in clinic, but no lab price is listed. It does not publish prices for hormone therapy or peptide therapy. It does not say whether insurance is accepted, and it does not describe membership or cancellation terms. Financing and payment options are mentioned, but their terms are not spelled out.

What should you ask before you book?

Start with who signs the prescription and who follows up with you. Ask for the name and credentials of that provider. Ask whether the $400, $750 or $1,050 price includes the medication. If it does not, ask what the medication costs each month.

Ask whether the Semaglutide is compounded or brand-name, since its weight loss material calls it compounded. Ask how the Micro Dose option differs from the standard program. Ask what lab work and follow-up visits cost, and whether any are required before you start. Ask which office you would book with for weight loss, and whether telehealth visits are offered. Ask for the price of hormone or peptide therapy before you book, since neither is published. Finally, ask how to cancel a program and whether any part of the fee is refundable.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want cosmetic treatments and a medical weight loss or hormone program under one roof, and you are prepared to get the prescriber, the medication cost and the cancellation terms in writing before you pay. Its weight loss material names a BMI of 27 or above as its target group, so check that you fall within it before you book.
