About NewGen Direct Primary Care

What is NewGen Direct Primary Care?

NewGen Direct Primary Care is a direct primary care practice at 580 Lexington Green Lane in Sanford, Florida. Patients pay a flat monthly membership instead of billing insurance, and members are guaranteed a same-day or next-day visit. Bianca Carroll, FNP-BC, MSN, is the nurse practitioner who prescribes, and she is also the practice's CEO. The practice lists 15+ years of experience in the medical field and offers virtual visits, in-office lab draws and dispensing of medications.

Weight loss and med spa services sit alongside primary care. The weight loss program includes weekly GLP-I injections given in the office, take-home vials for patients who inject themselves, and a weight loss membership. In its own words: "We offer FDA-approved weekly GLP-I weight loss injections in office." It does not name the specific medication. The med spa menu covers facials, chemical peels, PRP treatments, body contouring and IV hydration. Office hours are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 AM to 5 PM, plus alternating Saturdays from 9 AM to 12 PM. Google lists the clinic with a rating of 5 from 55 reviews.

What does it cost?

Membership is the main published price, billed monthly. The individual plan is $79 a month, or $39 for ages 13 to 20. The family plan is $250 a month for a family of 4 to 6. The BEMA plan is $300 a month for adults 21 and up, or $150 for youth under 21, and it adds eye care, 12 mental health counseling sessions with co-pays, and discounted medications and in-office labs. The individual and family plans include 15% off weight loss and med spa treatments and packages, a flat monthly rate, and no surprise co-pays or fees.

It does not publish prices for weight loss visits, GLP-I injections or IV hydration. It does not say whether the GLP-I medication is included in any plan, whether insurance is accepted, or what a consultation costs. Cancellation terms are not listed either.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes and signs the GLP-I prescription, and who sees you at follow-up. Ask whether the monthly fee covers the medication, the office injections and the take-home vials, or whether the drug is billed on its own. Ask for the medication's name and whether it is brand-name or compounded, since the clinic does not say. Ask what check-ins and lab work cost beyond the membership, and whether insurance is accepted for any visit or test.

Ask whether hormone replacement is available on the family plan. It appears under women's health on the individual plan but is not listed on the family plan. Finally, ask how to cancel, including any notice period or fee. Call 407-904-0942 and get the answers in writing before you pay.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you want ongoing primary care on a flat monthly membership and want weight loss or med spa services in the same office. If you need to know the total monthly cost of the medication before you commit, get those answers first.
