About Zvia Weight Loss & MedSpa

What is Zvia Weight Loss & MedSpa?

Zvia is a medical weight loss clinic and med spa at 7700 W Virginia Ave, Unit C, in Lakewood, Colorado 80226. It serves the Denver metro area and lists offices in Lakewood, Denver, Wheat Ridge, Arvada, Golden, Littleton, Englewood, Centennial and Aurora. Weight loss is its main service. Visits are by appointment. Hours are Monday 9am to 1pm by appointment, Tuesday through Friday 8:30am to 6pm, and Saturday 9am to 1pm. Sunday is closed. The phone number is (303) 902-5353.

The clinic offers four services: medical weight loss, peptide and metabolic therapy, hormone optimization, and medical aesthetics. Its peptide therapy names NAD+ and glutathione. Its aesthetics services include BOTOX, XEOMIN, Morpheus8 and EvolveX. The weight loss program uses prescribed medication, but the clinic does not name the specific drugs. Sharon Blumenthal, FNP-C, is the Clinical Director and the only prescriber named. Tom Higgins is also on the team, but no credentials are listed for him. It has a 4.9 rating on Google from 72 reviews.

What does it cost?

The medical weight loss program is listed at $199 to $250 for the first month, then $399 to $499 a month, depending on the protocol your provider prescribes. A 50% off first month offer also appears. The program includes medical evaluation, weekly visits, lab monitoring and lifestyle guidance. A coaching upgrade adds $150 a month. It does not say whether medication is included in the monthly price.

The first consultation is a complimentary 45-minute visit. In its own words: "Your provider selects the specific therapeutic approach based on your biology, not a pricing tier." It does not state an insurance policy, and it does not publish prices for hormone, peptide or aesthetic care.

What should you ask before you book?

Ask who writes your prescription, and whether Sharon Blumenthal, FNP-C, sees you at each visit or whether another provider does. Ask what Tom Higgins does and what his training is. Ask whether medication is part of the monthly fee or billed on top of it. Ask whether the weight loss medications, NAD+ and glutathione are brand name or compounded, and where any compounded products are made.

Ask what follow-up labs and body composition scans cost after the first round. Ask whether the clinic bills insurance at all, and whether any follow-up can be done by telehealth. Finally, ask how to cancel, and whether any part of the monthly fee is refunded if you stop partway through.

Who is it a good fit for?

This is a good fit if you live in or near the Denver metro, want a medical weight loss program with in-person weekly visits, and are ready to pay out of pocket, since no insurance policy is stated. If you are mainly looking for hormone or peptide care, ask for prices first, because none are published.
