On insurance, the therapists take Aetna, and no other insurer is named. Intake booking is split into one option for insurance patients and one for private pay, so ask which one applies to a weight loss or hormone visit.
What should you ask before you book?
Start with who signs the prescription. SJ Struckmeyer leads the weight loss program, so ask whether that nurse practitioner writes the prescription you receive and who covers when they are away. Ask whether a monthly fee includes the medication, and what the medication costs without it.
For hormone therapy, ask whether the product is brand name or compounded. The practice offers bioidentical hormones through compounded prescriptions, so ask which form you would receive and what it costs.
Ask what the intake visit, follow-up visits and lab work cost. The intake appointment runs 60 to 90 minutes, so ask whether that whole visit is charged. Ask how to cancel and whether you commit to a set term.
Video visits are offered for psychiatric care, so ask whether weight loss or hormone visits can be done by video too. If you are nearer Winter Park, ask which office would see you. Hours are given as Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm, with no Saturday hours and no separate hours for Winter Park.
Who is it a good fit for?
This is a good fit if you want weight loss or hormone care from a practice that also treats mental health conditions, and you are willing to call and get the prescriber, medication and price details before you book. It is a weaker fit if you need prices in writing before any contact.
